New Zealand's most reforming government was led in part by Deputy Prime Minister Sir Geoffrey Palmer, who then became the 33rd prime minister and an undeniable historical figure. Researched from extensive archives and interviews with Palmer, his family, and his associates, this biography reveals-from his formative years in Nelson onwards-the influences that shaped him as a politician, the extent of his power, and the achievements and limitations of his parliamentary career.
